Good to know
Why a white screen is so useful
White drives every red, green and blue subpixel at full power at the same time. That makes it the best color for judging the brightness, uniformity and cleanliness of a display.
How to clean your screen properly
Turn on the white screen and wipe with a dry microfiber cloth first. For stubborn marks, dampen the cloth slightly with distilled water. Never spray liquid directly onto the display and avoid paper towels or harsh cleaners.
Checking uniformity
Look for brighter or darker edges, color tints in the corners and so-called clouding. Slight edge variations are normal on IPS and VA panels; on OLED, burn-in can appear as faint shadows.
